Fans and the Hip-Hop community have been waiting for Snoop Dogg to comment on his performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration, Crypto Ball. They eventually received their message.

In an Instagram video post, Snoop stated, “Y’all can’t hate me enough for me, I love too much.”

He said, “Get your life together and stop worrying about mine. I’m cool, and I’m together. Still a black dude. Still 100% Black. All-out till you ball out or fall out. I’m not going anywhere, cuh. I’m right here. “Get the Crypto on Crip, though.”

Elon Musk is making fun of Snoop Dogg for performing at the 2024 inauguration. Musk shared a 2016 video of Snoop calling Black Trump performers a “Uncle Tom” next to the 2024 performance video, with the message: “The vibe shift is real [laughing emoji]”

A storm of criticism erupted on social media after it was revealed that rappers Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Nelly, and Soulja Boy performed at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremonies in Washington, D.C. The performances, which were part of the festivities leading up to Trump’s inauguration as the 47th president, drew intense criticism, notably from Black Twitter users.

The Crypto Ball and Performances Paid with Bitcoin

On Friday, Snoop Dogg and Rick Ross headlined the private Crypto Ball, a black-tie event hosted by crypto entrepreneur David Sacks, who was recently designated by Trump as the “AI and Crypto Czar.” The two hip-hop icons reportedly took payment for their concerts in Bitcoin, which is currently worth a stunning $103,000 per coin.

Soulja Boy also performed at the event, which honors Trump’s pledge to be the first crypto-friendly president.

Nelly performed at the Liberty Ball

On Monday, January 20, rapper Nelly performed at the inaugural Liberty Ball alongside the Village People and country music singer Jason Aldean. The 50-year-old rapper, known for hits such as Hot in Herre and Dilemma, joins a list of artists who have faced criticism for supporting Trump’s inauguration celebrations.

Social Media Outrage: “Tap Dancing for Massa”

News of the rappers’ performances sparked fury online, particularly among Black Twitter users. Many others called the artists “sellouts” and compared them to singer Chrisette Michele, who received similar criticism for playing at Trump’s 2017 inauguration.

“Where would Snoop Dogg, Nelly, and Rick Ross be without black people? We propelled them to where they are today. By purchasing their albums or supporting their endeavors. We will not support sellouts any longer. So, white folks, it’s your turn and time to take over,” one person remarked.

Others voiced concern with the timing of the concerts, which occurred just days before Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

“No black people are really embarrassing. Are you telling me that Snoop, Nelly, Rick Ross, and Soulja Boy all performed for this man? I’m truly disgusted. “Just before MLK Day, too,” one post stated.

Many people demanded a standard response to the artists’ behavior, citing the backlash Chrisette Michele received in 2017.

“Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Soulja Boy, and Rick Ross all support Donald Trump.” Surely the culture will treat them the same way they tried to treat Drake, accusing him of being a Trump supporter without evidence, right?”

Another commented, “So we need to cancel Snoop, Rick Ross, and Nelly? Who else? I want people to stop being selective because Chrisette Michele did it, and it was a problem. “Keep that same energy!”
