After defeating the Los Angeles Clippers 122-97, LeBron James made his first comments regarding the Luka Doncic deal. He admitted that he believed the Doncic for Davis exchange to be a “hoax.”
After leading the Lakers to a 122-97 victory with 26 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds, James made these comments.
“Until I saw Luka today and saw a video of AD at the Dallas shootaround, it still didn’t seem real,” James remarked. “I finally realized, ‘Oh s—, this is real,'” at that point.
“If I had concerns about it, I’d waive my no-trade clause and get up out of here,” James added, reaffirming his desire to remain with the Lakers.
