Texans may have been all over the football field on Super Bowl Sunday, but they also covered the iconic advertisements.
Texas-born quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes led their respective offenses, and former UT standout Xavier Worthy scored scores all night, as True Detective and Hit Man stars attempted to sell us stuff in between the action.

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.
On Sunday, the University of Texas’ Minister of Culture was featured prominently on TVs. Matthew McConaughey and Kevin Bacon star in an Uber Eats commercial, pitching a movie to Barbie director Greta Gerwig on how football is a “conspiracy to make us hungry.”
In addition, he was seen sprinting through the airport and dodging Woody Harrelson in a commercial for Salesforce, a California-based technology business. Another Salesforce advertisement shows McConaughey being soaked in rain before being summoned to join Harrelson at a nearby restaurant. Both commercials include the caption “What AI was meant to be.”
Glen Powell
Glen Powell, an Austinite, debuted his Hit Man look in a Ram Truck ad, where he plays “Goldilocks” and is pursued by three bears in opposing Ram trucks.
Michelle Rodriguez
Michelle Rodriguez, who is about to be inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame, met with her Fast & Furious co-stars Vin Diesel and Ludacris to share Haagen-Dazs ice cream and “savor 25 years of that Fast life.”

Post Malone collaborated with Shane Gillis and Peyton Manning to help Bud Light host the ultimate cul-de-sac party.
Gruene Hall
The oldest dance hall in Texas was placed front and center in an H-E-B commercial announcing the restaurant’s 120-day free grocery giveaway. The commercial featured Amarillo-born artist Aaron Watson singing a song about the greatness of Texas and H-E-B.
