According to reports, Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance during Super Bowl LIX, which was more of a cultural event, has caused his streams to rise across several platforms.

K. Dot’s Drake diss song, “Not Like Us,” saw an incredible 430% rise on the DSP in the hours after his performance on Sunday night (February 9), according to new statistics released by Spotify. His nine other songs had notable increases on the platform as well, with “HUMBLE” rising 300% and “Euphoria” seeing 260%, among other spikes. Kendrick also dominated the top slots on Apple Music, with GNX taking back the top spot.

SZA’s streams increased by 80% after she performed “All the Stars” and “Luther” on stage with her former T.D.E. labelmate.

There were many Easter eggs throughout Lamar’s 15-minute performance in Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, but his subtly offensive remarks about Drake were the one that made headlines the most. “I want to perform their favorite song… but you know they love to sue,” Kendrick hinted to when he was going to perform the diss track “Not Like Us.”

Drake’s defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group over the song was mentioned in the comment. In the fan favorite, Kendrick rapped, “Say Drake, I hear you like ’em young / You better not ever go to cell block one / To any [bi**h] that talk to him and they in love/ Just make sure you hide your lil’ sister from him,” while smirking and notably self-censoring the “certified pedophile” line.

As he performed another bar with accuracy, the audience erupted: “Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A minoooooorrrrrr.”

When Serena Williams, Drake’s ex-girlfriend and Compton resident, made an unannounced cameo during the halftime show, it took yet another unexpected turn. As “Not Like Us” gave way to the grand finale, “TV Off,” the tennis champion C-walked on a raised stage.

In addition to Williams, the show featured other well-known guests like Mustard, who joined in during the conclusion, and Samuel L. Jackson, who narrated the theatrical set while dressed as Uncle Sam.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ incredible 40–22 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl was another stunner.
