Wendy Williams is traveling to Miami this weekend for her father’s 94th birthday — the first time she’s been able to socialize in many months — and will be spending time with her son, whom she says took advantage of her financially and prompted her guardianship.

Wendy spoke on Harvey and Mark Geragos’ podcast, “2 Angry Men,” and was questioned if it would be hard socializing with her son, Kevin. Wendy handled the situation graciously, as Mark mentioned, and made it apparent that she is looking forward to seeing Kevin.

Wendy discusses mismanagement of her money in TMZ’s new documentary, “Saving Wendy,” which is available for free on Tubi. She claims her guardianship was initiated when her bank, Wells Fargo, discovered a series of large fraudulent withdrawals. Wendy suspects Kevin and others were behind it. Kevin has claimed he done nothing wrong.

However, the guardianship judge appears to side with Wendy. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the judge stated in September that “While Mr. Hunter, [her son, Kevin] apologized for past mistakes and inappropriate behavior, the court is not convinced that he can keep her safe and wouldn’t willingly or unwittingly expose her to financial exploitation.”

Wendy’s life in an assisted living home is depicted in the documentary, in which she is confined to a room on the fifth floor, receives little fresh air, has no internet access, and almost no one may phone or visit her. Wendy said she feels like a prisoner.

The documentary raises issues regarding Wendy’s guardianship and whether it should be terminated, as many believe she has returned to her former self.

Wendy will be re-evaluated by specialists, who previously ruled she had Frontotemporal Dementia. The problem is that Wendy’s condition never improves, just worsens, despite the fact that she sounds far better than she did in the Lifetime docuseries filmed a few years ago.
