This year will finally see the release of the final musical project that Nipsey Hussle worked on before his tragic death.

In a radio interview on Wednesday, February 26, the late rapper’s brother Blacc Sam stated that Nip’s collaborative album with Bino Rideaux would be released sometime this summer. The album was recorded in 2019 prior to the shooting death of the Los Angeles native, according to Billboard.

“We’re about to release a new project, and he did something with Bino,” Sam stated. “He and Bino worked on this project, which was essentially 80% complete.”

In order to tighten it up, he added, “the team kind of came in, got some unreleased verses and music that he had done with Bino.” “It sounds fantastic. It is anticipated to be released sometime this summer. The group is ecstatic. We recently concluded our three-week review of everything with everyone.

Nipsey had a significant role in the project, Sam stressed. He claimed that the song wouldn’t play at all if he wasn’t. Bino and Nip had previously collaborated on other projects. The pair collaborated on “Clarity” with Dave East in 2016 and released their joint project No Pressure in 2017.

Blacc Sam also gave an update on the much-anticipated documentary on Nip’s life at another point in the interview. The show, which was first hinted at in 2022, will consist of at least eight episodes and is entirely produced by Nip’s family.

“People can’t throw some money at us and tell us, ‘It needs to be two episodes or three episodes,'” Sam said. “We have been keeping our heads down and working, kind of backing away, and declining a lot of offers because the creative is not for sale. And we’ll come out and release it after it’s properly completed, which should be about eight episodes.

Neither the album nor the documentary have a release date as of this report.
