“Fortnite” continues to make significant inroads with singers and celebrities, and Kendrick Lamar might be the next to join the list.
Fortnite is still one of the most popular games today, even though there isn’t the same intense enthusiasm for it as there once was. The massively popular free-to-play game from Epic Games has kept a sizable player base to support regular updates and new content releases. This is particularly true for series crossovers, emotes, and player skins. It’s hardly surprising that there are additional rumors about a new DLC for the game because of this. According to the HYPEX Fortnite news account on Twitter, they have purportedly confirmed that Kendrick Lamar will be the main attraction of this forthcoming bundle. We use the word “alleged” because, according to HipHopDX, neither Epic Games nor the Compton rapper have acknowledged the veracity of the rumors.

However, this is just one more feather in Kendrick Lamar’s cap if it’s genuine. According to HYPEX, this bundle will include a song and an emote associated with the icon. The emote is purportedly titled “Sit Down, Be Humble” and is meant to allude to one of the background dancers from the Super Bowl Halftime Show or the “Not Like Us” song video. DAMN. will play when a participant in the game utilizes the “HUMBLE.” emote from his 2017 album.

Given that the bundle’s name alludes to the chorus of the number one hit, that would make a lot of sense. That information is either unknown or nonexistent to hip-hop enthusiasts and Fortnite players who are curious about a Kendrick skin. In the past, Fortnite creators typically provide a downloadable skin when they collaborate with singers. A number of performers in the rap or related genres have the distinction of being playable characters.

During his three-decade career, Eminem, for instance, was ingratiated into the 2017 release with a few possible looks in 2023. Next up is Travis Scott, who gained notoriety in 2020 after organizing a virtual performance and releasing his collaboration with Kid Cudi, “THE SCOTTS.” The Weeknd, Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice, and even the late Juice WRLD are among the other people that have been honored with this distinction. All in all, Kendrick’s inclusion on that list would be awesome. Given his stellar 2024 run and Super Bowl Halftime Show, he very certainly deserves it.
