After experiencing a “medical emergency” while getting ready for a performance in Texas on Tuesday, Carlos Santana was admitted to the hospital.

According to a Santana representative who spoke to TMZ, the renowned guitarist experienced a medical emergency at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, Texas, because he may have been dehydrated.

The artist was brought out on a trolley before being placed in an ambulance, according to witnesses who informed the outlet that the event occurred during a sound check.

Santana’s representative said the artist is “doing well” after he was taken to a hospital in San Antonio, where he was still being monitored as of early Tuesday night.

The 10-time Grammy winner’s health scare forced the cancellation of Tuesday night’s performance.

Santana thanked his fans “for showing up with such beautiful energy and love in the cold and rain” in a Facebook post only hours before he was admitted to the hospital.

“No flashlight could ever fully illuminate the night like your warmth and passion did. Sharing the music of our hearts with you was a true honor,” he stated.

Santana’s next show on his Oneness Tour 2025 is set for this Wednesday in Sugar Land, Texas.
