Snoop Dogg and NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios have struck a lucrative new deal. The latter has established what it calls a “new creative partnership” with the hip-hop artist and his production company, Death Row Pictures.

On Wednesday, Donna Langley, the chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios, revealed the broad agreement with NBCU, which spans cinema, television, sports entertainment, and streaming.

“Snoop’s unmatched showmanship and artistry have won over audiences worldwide,” Langley said in a statement. Those of us fortunate enough to be in his sphere of influence are also aware of his extraordinary business sense, boundless inventiveness, and the unreserved genuineness he infuses into each endeavor. There’s only one Snoop, and we can’t wait for him to become one of our incredible creative partners.

Snoop Dogg has already worked with NBCU in a variety of capacities, such as as a judge on “The Voice” and as a participant in NBC and Peacock’s coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. He will rejoin “The Voice” as a coach in Season 28 this autumn as a result of this new agreement. Last fall, Snoop served as a coach for Season 26 of the show. Additionally, he had previously agreed to a deal for “Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story,” an E! reality show about his family that aired at the end of the previous year.

In addition, Snoop is still working on a Universal movie on his life, which was first revealed in 2022 after Snoop bought Death Row Records. This is the first movie released by the recently established Death Row Pictures.

Snoop, Brian Grazer, and Sara Ramaker, president of Death Row Pictures, are producing the movie, which was written by Joe Robert Cole. (Previously announced as the film’s director, Allen Hughes is no longer participating.) “This strategic evolution ushers in a new era of innovative onscreen storytelling and cements the brand’s influence beyond music,” the business stated.

The Universal Studios lot will serve as the basis for Death Row Pictures. In addition to Snoop and Ramaker, Kevyn Woods, Keifer Moore, and Torre Blake are members of the Death Row Pictures crew.

In a statement, Snoop added, “I am proud to call NBCUniversal my new home because not everyone has the courage and vision to see what Death Row Pictures can bring to the table, but Donna and the NBCUniversal team have always understood.” “You know that the Dogg has officially moved into the neighborhood?”

As a multi-platinum rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, DJ, media personality, businessman, and icon, Snoop is, of course, well-known. He has 20 Grammy Award nominations, 21 studio albums, and over 40 million albums sold worldwide. This year, Time named him one of the 100 Most Influential People.
