A man was taken into custody by Nashville police after he allegedly threatened to blow up Morgan Wallen’s pub in the city center.

The six-story venue was completely evacuated as a result of the tragedy, which created significant disruptions throughout the city.

Metro Nashville Police Department officers were called to This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen earlier this week after Reginald Smith, the suspect, entered the establishment and said he had a bomb in his backpack.

Authorities roped off the area, the department’s bomb squad was sent to examine the danger, and guests and employees were swiftly escorted out of the facility. There were no explosives discovered.

Smith was charged with creating a false report and causing panic after being arrested without incident. While police conducted their investigation, he stayed in custody. Authorities have not disclosed a potential reason.

For many country music lovers and Wallen, whose pub has grown to be a well-known addition to Nashville’s downtown entertainment district, the danger was personal. This six-story Bar & Tennessee Kitchen opened in 2024 and offers a variety of bars, rooftop views, live music on a regular basis, and a menu that draws inspiration from “Southern comfort food.”

The room is filled with mementos from the Whiskey Glasses singer’s career.
