The father of Miami Heat player Kevin Love and the brother of Beach Boys vocalist Mike Love, former NBA player Stan Love, passed away. His age was 76.
On Sunday evening, Kevin Love posted on Instagram to announce the passing of his father.
“Dad, I’m so proud to be your son,” Kevin Love wrote on social media posts. “The only thing I can aspire for is your pride in me. All I ever wanted was that. I’m grateful for everything.

Before being chosen ninth overall by Baltimore in the 1971 NBA draft, 6-foot-9 player Stan Love excelled at Oregon and Morningside High School in Inglewood, California.
During his four seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Bullets, he averaged 6.8 points and 4.0 rebounds in 226 games. Additionally, he participated in 12 American Basketball Association games with San Antonio.
