Few names in funk music resonate as profoundly as Bootsy Collins. The legendary bassist, singer, and producer has spent over five decades shaping funk, soul, and R&B, earning his place among music’s most influential figures.

From his early days with James Brown to his groundbreaking work with Parliament Funkadelic and his solo career, Bootsy continues to inspire with his signature groove, flamboyant style, and charisma. Now, with his latest endeavor signing with Radiant Technologies, Collins is set for another exciting chapter.

Bootsy’s music journey began in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1968, he formed The Pacemakers, later joining James Brown’s band, The J.B.’s, in 1970. Bootsy’s innovative bass playing helped define classics like “Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine.”

His time with Brown was short but impactful. Soon after, he joined George Clinton’s Parliament Funkadelic in the early 1970s, pioneering the P-Funk sound with hits like “Flash Light” and “One Nation Under a Groove.”
